If a band has survived 3 decades in the music business in this part of the universe, there is a reason to stop the earth, take a deep breath and…
… celebrate our terrestrial anniversary with you.
As everywhere, there was also SUPER NOVAS and BLACK HOLES in the course of our band history. Even some other holes…
…but what we could always rely on were our faithful fans on this planet….and, not to let it unmentioned, Terrion and Galactos, by the way. You would be surprised to see how these extraterrestrial provinces have developed. But, I digress…

No matter how many flight hours away, in our logbook you see that we have always met nice and open-minded people who have welcomed us wherever our master has sent us.

And since I have you here now, I would like to thank you in the name of SCANNER for your interest and support.

As a thank you for your loyalty, this SCANNER - Best Of - THE GALACTOS TAPES was designed.

Since we did not just want to come up with the simple compilation, we have re-recorded some old songs on CD2. To present you these classics with our current line-up, especially with our "longtime" singer’s voice. We were actively supported by the ICT -"Intergalactic Choir of the Terrians". A conglomerate of united throats, recruited via social medias of this galaxy. Also, very much appreciated the "Teutonic Space Shouters", who took the stresses on themselves and made their way into the orbit to our spacelab, to roar with us the cosmic slogans. We would like to thank all of them. This successful action makes THE GALACTOS TAPES something special also.

And because a band cannot exist and survive without friends and fans, one or the other of you will find his photo exactly in the place in our booklet, where the band shoot is found usually. With THE GALACTOS TAPES we do not want to celebrate us but YOU, our fans.

The story of SCANNER

SCANNERs cover and albums concepts often deal with SF because we created "THE SCANNER" as a SF character/figure. This is his story:

During World War II the army created a selected commando team of seven ex-convicted men, who were genetically transformed. The purpose was to create an absolute war machine. Then these mutant soldiers used their special high skills against their commanders. The army concluded that the rebellions of the mutant soldiers had to be destroyed. Therefore, each mutant soldier was set into a self - igniting rocket, which was shot straight into space to get rid of the problem by an explosion outside the orbit. However, one rocket had mechanical problems and failed to explode, so the specific mutant was save. But he was trapped inside the rocket and he was condemned to fly an eternal circle all around the space...

Then, after 5 years lost in space and "Locked Out", 3 alien wizards found him and helped him to survive.

Then, after 5 years lost in space and "Locked Out", 3 alien wizards found him and helped him to survive. The condition of the now totally rescued ex-convicted soldier, with the name "SCANNER", was too bad; he was almost insane and the only thing that he wanted to do was revenge. The alien wizards converted his hate into an aiming feeling (Retaliation+). An artificial world was given to him, in which he could organize all his later operations. This place was the planet "Galactos".

He travelled to earth on "Warp 7", quicker than the speed of light, to investigate the situation and he made up a specific plan: he would create five androids, which would go back to earth, at five different moments during the last fifty years, to gather information about the human`s aggression and wars. The androids send back all the information through a special system while the SCANNER could observe them and could control the situation with his "R.M.U.". His highest aim was to change the earth into a perfect world where would be no hate and no war anymore ("Terrion").

Today the SCANNER has found the basis for "Terrion" in a different galaxy and returns back to earth here and there to witness what is going on and how the planet is developing. The SCANNER sees that something is wrong on this planet, and has made "The Judgement". He recognizes large deficits of the ethical value system within all nations. He thinks it is unworthy for a highly developed and technologized human race of the third millennium how the planet is treated and how people encounter each other. Feeling responsible, he starts working on a solution…
